EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE GREG GRANT BASKETBALL & TRAINING CENTER
Michigan basketball court

Facility

Opened June 2012, the Greg Grant Basketball & Training center is a collaboration of amenities that Coach Grant valued as a player and coach. This 30,000 square foot facility has two 94 foot, official NBA-sized courts, including the NBA Denver Nuggest Court, and the Canton Center D-League Court for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

A 5,000 square foot mezzanine overlooks the courts with a full gym, cardio equipment, Vertimax, and turf for speed and agility training.

The conference center is used for coaches to conduct video game review with their teams. It’s also the perfect place to host birthday parties, coaching clinics, and smaller seminars.

Ample and comfortable seating is available for spectators, while offering free WiFi and Direct TV.

Enjoy NFL Sunday Ticket or other sporting events on our jumbo projection TV on the wall between courts.

We have a full concession area offering all the regulars along with healthy choices as well. Smoothies, slushies, Pepsi beverages, along with coffee, cappuccino, and hot chocolate are also offered.

In the works is a pro-shop that will offer Nike and Adidas brands, along with Greg Grant Basketball gear. Basketball and training shoes will be included.

Feel free to stop by and check out the facility. We will be happy to give you a tour.

Greg Grant

Coach Grant as a Player

Coach Grant has been fortunate to play basketball in over thirty countries in Europe, Asia, and South America, as well as playing throughout the U.S. professionally in the ABA, and NBA pre-season camps and summer leagues. This experience has provided him with exposure to a variety of philosophies related to the teaching and learning the game of basketball. Throughout his career, Coach Grant has earned the reputation of being fundamentally sound both defensively and offensively. His career statistics demonstrate record-breaking blocked shots and rebounding. Among basketball circles, players remember his forceful “in-your-face” dunks, breaking three backboards in the process!

Coach Greg Grant

Coach Grant as a Coach/Trainer

Coach Grant has taken his fundamentals from his playing days and expanded them into his coaching and training. Working with over 10,000 players during the last 12 years he has been able to develop a system which works at all levels, youth, high school and college. His teaching methods have become synonymous with some of the best players in the tri-county area as well as abroad in Canada and Europe.

Coach Grant understands that basketball in many ways can teach life-skills, and how a player trains and handles himself on the court will carry over into situations where discipline, confidence and competitiveness are required. This is one of the main reasons he has helped hundreds of students (in the past twelve years) receive college scholarships at every level of play.

You will find Coach Grant working diligently with his students weekly on the court. He is not a bystander. He is hands-on and makes sure each player understands before they leave his training facility they know what needs to be worked on before next week’s session. He spends time to make sure all, including the parents, understand the importance of continuing to work on your skills at home and in the gym. Many parents have commented that Greg’s effect on their child has been tremendous when trying to overcome difficulties they could not master in the past.
